Night of 27th Rajab marks the anniversary of the Baysat of our beloved Prophet Mohammad(sawaw). Baysat is the event of formal declaration of prophet-hood by Prophet Mohammad(sawaw). It is also the night of Mairaj which is the ascension of Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) to heavens. A separate newsletter will be sent on that topic later. The current newsletter is intended to inform about the special aamal of this important and virtuous night. It seems appropriate to mention at this stage that the Ahl-e- Tashiyyuh (Shias) believe that the Prophet(sawaw) is the first and foremost creation of Allah(swt) and He is the Prophet ever since his creation. The arrival of Wahi at the age of 40 is only a mark where Allah(swt) decided that Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) should declare the message of Allah(swt) openly and start the process of inviting people to salvation. IHTIDHAAR The period of time just before death is known as ihtidhaar. It is ehtiyaat wajib to lay the dying person on his/her back with the face and the soles of the feet facing qibla. (It may be worth noting that where it causes any difficulty the bed should be turned rather then handling the person him/herself. It is Mustahab to: 1. Help the dying person recite and understand the Kalima, the names of the 12 Aimma, and other beliefs. 2. Encounter with Waleed and Marwan After Muawiyah’s death Yazid wrote a letter to Waleed-the governor of medina, "Now then! Ask for the oath of allegiance from Husain, Abdullah bin Umar and Abdullah bin Zubayr, and do not give them respite until they do so." Waleed called for Abdullah bin Umro bin Usman, who was just a lad, to summon Imam Husain (a.s.) and Abdullah bin Zubayr to meet him. It was a time when Waleed usually did not meet anyone.
